105 - PERSONAL EQUIPMENT.
105.1 FIREARMS.
105.11 POSSESSION REQUIRED. Every officer shall possess a department authorized firearm.
Exemption: Employees with LSPRD, LSDS, SADSH, Detention Officers and inner-facility SASPA shall not possess any firearms.
105.12 AUTHORIZED FIREARMS. Officers shall only possess firearms which the Department have authorized. Off duty officers who conceal carry shall also only possess firearms which have been authorized by the Department.
Handguns. Officers may choose to use attachments. The Department-authorized attachments are: Flashlight, slide-mounted red dot sight
Pistol: 12 round magazine.
Pistol Mk2: 12 round magazine.
Langley Pistol: 12 round magazine.
VF Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Service Pistol: 17 round magazine.
Gardone Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Duty Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Duty Pistol Mk2: 17 round magazine.
D&P9 Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Combat Pistol: 12 round magazine.
Endurance Pistol: 13 round magazine.
950 Pistol: 17 round magazine.
SAP-9: 17 round magazine.
AP Pistol: 18 round magazine. May only be used by FIB supervisors.
Double-Action Revolver: 6 round capacity. May be used by elderly IC Police Officers III and above. Shall only be used by SADFW.
Heavy Pistol: 18 round magazine. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
Heavy Pistol LE: 8 round magazine. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
SNS Pistol: 6 round magazine. May be used as a backup firearm by uniformed officers. May be used by on-duty DB in plain clothes.
SNS Pistol Mk2: 6 round magazine. May be used as a backup firearm by uniformed officers. May be used by on-duty DB in plain clothes.
Urban Patrol Rifles. Officers may choose to use attachments. The Department-authorized attachments are: Grip, Flashlight, Scope, Assortment of Muzzle Brakes, Small Scope, Large Scope or the Holographic Sight.
Military Carbine: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
Carbine Rifle: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
Carbine Rifle Mk2: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
Combat Rifle (AR15): 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
Service Carbine (M16): 30 round magazine optional. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
Service Carbine (M4): 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
VF Tactical Carbine: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
H&L Navy Carbine: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. May be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
SMG: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. Shall only be used by on-duty CTSOB TRT.
VF Heavy Rifle: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC Police Officers III and above. Shall only be used by BCSO.
Light Machine Guns. Officers may choose to use attachments. The Department-authorized attachments are: Grip, Flashlight, Scope, Assortment of Muzzle Brakes, Small Scope, Large Scope or the Holographic Sight.
Combat MG: 200 round magazine. Only to be used by OOC CTSOB TRT. Shall only be used by PNC.
Shotguns. Officers may choose to use attachments. The Department-authorized attachments are: Flashlight.
Compact Shotgun: 8 round capacity. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
Combat Shotgun: 6 round capacity. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
Tactical Shotgun: 8 round capacity.
Sporty: 8 round capacity.
Pump Shotgun: 8 round capacity.
Wooden Pump Shotgun: 8 round capacity.
Pump Shotgun Mk2: 8 round capacity.
Sawed Off Shotgun: 8 round capacity.
Police Shotgun: 12 round capacity.
Military Shotgun: 5 round capacity. Shall only be used by LSPD and USAFSF.
Less-Lethal.
Beanbag shotgun: A less lethal beanbag shotgun.
Stungun: Be sure to use the correct tint depending on the agency.
40mm Less-Lethal Launcher: LSPD shall use the green version; all other agencies shall use the black version.
Sniper Rifles. Officers may choose to use attachments. The Department-authorized attachments are: Zoom Scope, Normal Scope, Advanced Scope, Large Scope, Night-vision Scope (if the situation calls for it), Thermal Scope (if the situation calls for it), Armor Piercing Rounds (if the situation calls for it).
Assault Sniper: 10 round magazine. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
Sniper Rifle: 10 round magazine. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
Heavy Sniper: 6 round magazine. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
Heavy Sniper Mk2: 10 round magazine. Only to be used by on-duty CTSOB.
Precision Carbine. Only to be used by Police Officers III and above. Shall only be used by SAHP and SADFW.
105.13 BACKUP FIREARMS. Backup firearms shall be concealed in either a waistband holster, or an ankle holster.
105.14 ADDON WEAPON ATTACHMENTS. Addon weapons listed in 105.12 may be further customized with attachments listed in this sheet, as long as they conform to authorized attachment restrictions listed in 105.12.
105.15 SUPPRESSOR USAGE. Officers shall NOT utilize suppressors on their firearms, except where:
The officer is on duty as either RHPD or BCSO; or,
The officer is assigned to SWAT.
Note: Suppressors shall be limited to usage upon Urban Patrol Rifles and Sniper Rifles.
105.2 PERSONAL EQUIPMENT.
Uniformed Officers:
Baton. Either the extendable baton, or the nightstick may be used. Extendable baton may be blacked parkerized finish (Black tint), blued steel finish (Blue tint), or stainless chromed finish (Platinum tint).
Cuffs. Normally 2 pairs of standard steel cuffs.
Radio.
Pepperspray.
Duty Holster.
Department Authorized Firearm.
Stungun (Optional).
Extendable Baton. (Optional)
Flashlight. Pocket flashlight with White, Red or UV light may be used.
Knife (Optional). Blade length shall be no longer than 4 inches.
During specific situations other equipment may be carried:
Disposable plastic handcuffs.
Plainclothes Officers:
Ammunition.
Department Badge.
Handcuffs and Key.
Pen/Pencil.
Department Authorized Firearm.
Flashlight (Optional)
105.3 VEHICLE EQUIPMENT.
Officer First Aid Kit.
"Go Bag". Your own bag filled with snacks, extra clothing etc.
Hobble-Restraint Device.
General Duty Helmet.
External Armour. As prescribed by Agency Standards.
Citation Book.
Personal Protective Equipment. May consist of work gloves, nitrile gloves, a mask, goggles etc.
Urban Patrol Rifle (If Applicable).
Shotgun (Required).
Beanbag Shotgun (Optional)
Evidence Bags.
Police Tape.
Spikes.
Traffic Cones.
Flares.
Fire Extinguisher.
