ON-DUTY, UNIFORMED EMPLOYEES. Uniformed employees shall wear their official department-issued badge on the outermost garment of their uniform. However officers in a Department-approved specialized uniform, (e.g., utility uniform) may wear a facsimile badge as described below.

Uniformed employees shall wear the official Maze Bank Arena Department of Public Safety patches on their shoulders wherever possible..

WEARING OF THE UNIFORM. All employees regardless of rank shall wear the prescribed uniform and personal equipment during their tours of duty.

WEARING OF THE UTILITY UNIFORM. Utility Uniform may be worn by DPS officers.

BASEBALL CAP. DPS officers may choose to wear a baseball cap with utility uniform. Shall be green in colour, with "POLICE" written in black.

EXTERNAL ARMOUR. DPS officers shall not patrol while wearing external armor. During situations where extra protection is needed, DPS officers may put on external armor. Shall be black in color, and must display "POLICE."

Note: A Tac Alert does not give automatic permission for officers to wear plate carriers/external armor.

GLOVES. Black leather or knitted gloves may be worn for inclement weather. Gloves in solid, muted colors may be worn in situations where extra protection is required. Nitrile gloves may be worn when providing first aid, or collecting evidence.

HELMETS. DPS officers may carry a ballistic helmet in their patrol vehicle for situations which require extra ballistic protection. DPS may wear riot helmets during riots/major public order situations. Ballistic helmets shall be black in color.

HIGH VISIBILITY VEST. DPS officers shall wear a reflective safety vest while working in the roadway.

Note: A reflective safety vest is not required when an DPS officer conducts a traffic stop.

HOLSTER. Unless specified, all DPS officers shall wear their black holster on their belt. 

SHOULDER / CHEST MIC. DPS officers may choose to wear a shoulder or chest mic for their radio. 

ZIPTIES. During major public order situations, DPS officers may choose to wear extra ziptie cuffs on their belt. 

Shall be worn by any DPS officer attending a formal event.

May be worn by DPS officer conducting field activities.

SHIRT. Long sleeve shirt to be worn with the tie. Shall be worn with the metal badge and name plate.

PANTS. Standard duty pants, olive green in colour.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

BELT. Black Basket Weave leather belt, with gold buckle and gold pouch buttons.

May be worn by DPS officers conducting field activities.

SHIRT. Long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, with open collar. Shall be worn with the metal badge and name plate.

PANTS. Standard slack-style pants, olive green in colour.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

BELT. Black Basket Weave belt, with gold buckle and gold pouch buttons.

May be worn by DPS officers.

SHIRT. Long or short sleeve shirt, with open collar. Shall be worn with a sewn badge and sewn name patch.

PANTS. BDU pants, olive green in colour.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

BELT. Black Basket Weave leather belt, with gold buckle and gold pouch buttons.

Note: Black nylon belts may be worn with utility uniform.
