LOS SANTOS PORT POLICE
Wearing of the Badge/Uniform
On-Duty, Uniformed Employees. Uniformed employees shall wear their official Department-issued badge on the outermost garment of their uniform. However officers wearing Department-approved garments and accessories may wear a facsimile badge.
On-Duty, Plainclothes Officers. On-duty, plainclothes officers shall wear their official Department-issued badge so it is readily accessible for presentation to members of the public.
WHO SHALL WEAR UNIFORM. All employees regardless of rank shall wear the prescribed uniform and personal equipment during their tours of duty.
EXEMPTIONS TO WEARING UNIFORMS. The following officers are exempted from wearing the prescribed uniforms - Chief of Police; Staff officers; Command officers; and, Undercover and plainclothes assignment officers.
Accessories
BASEBALL CAP. A dark blue baseball cap bearing Port Authority of Los Santos logo or black baseball cap bearing "POLICE" lettering may be optionally worn with the utility uniform.
BODYCAM. Bodycams shall be worn by Officers; the newer Coil Body 3 is to be used.
Exemptions: Wearing of the bodycam is not required:
At the direction of Command;
For on-duty CTSOB, DB, and PCG assignments; and,
For other plainclothes assignments.
CITATION BAR. Officers may choose to wear an American Flag citation bar on their right breast pocket underneath their badge.
COLD WEATHER HAT. Officers may choose to wear a black fleece cap during inclement weather.
EXTERNAL CARRIER VEST (STAB VEST). Officers shall not wear external carrier vests with the Field Uniform. Officers may choose to wear external carrier vests with the Utility Uniform. External carrier vests shall be black in colour, and must display "POLICE" as well as the LSPP badge.
GLOVES. Black leather or knitted gloves may be worn for inclement weather. Gloves in solid, muted colors may be worn in situations where extra protection is required. Nitrile gloves may be worn when providing first aid, or collecting evidence.
HELMETS. Officers may carry a ballistic helmet in their patrol vehicle for situations which require extra ballistic protection. Officers may wear riot helmets during riots/major public order situations.
HIGH VISIBILITY VEST. Officers shall wear a reflective safety vest while working in the roadway.
Note: A reflective safety vest is not required when an officer conducts a traffic stop.
HOLSTER. Unless specified, all officers shall wear their black holster on their belt.
JACKETS. Officers may choose to wear a department-issued jacket during inclement weather, or during cold periods of time.
MARKSMANSHIP BADGES (LOS SANTOS PORT POLICE ISSUED). There are 4 different Marksmanship Badges. All requirements refer to OOC bounds, so usage on Patrol Division/Detective Bureau characters are permitted.
Note: Shall only be worn with standard Class A/B/C uniform shirts.
Marksman Marksmanship Badge: OOC Sergeant Is and above may assign the Marksman Marksmanship Badge to their character(s);
Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge: OOC Police Officer IIIs with at least 24 months of time in the Law Enforcement Faction may assign the Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge to their character(s);
Expert Marksmanship Badge: OOC Police Officer IIs and above with at least 12 months of time in the CTSOB's Tactical Response Teams may assign the Expert Marksmanship Badge to their character(s); and,
Distinguished Expert Marksmanship Badge: OOC Captains and above, and OOC Police Officer IIIs in the CTSOB's Special Weapons and Tactics Team's Sierra Cadre may assign the Distinguished Expert Marksmanship Badge to their character(s).
PERSONAL FLOATATION DEVICE (PFD). May be worn during maritime operations.
PLATE CARRIER / EXTERNAL ARMOUR. Officers may choose to carry a plate carrier/external armour in their patrol vehicle. The plate carrier/external armour shall not be worn unless the situation calls for it. The plate carrier/external armour shall be black and bear the text "POLICE".
Note: A Tac Alert does not give automatic permission for officers to wear plate carriers/external armour.
SHOULDER / CHEST MIC. Officers may choose to wear a shoulder or chest mic for their radio.
TASER. If an officer chooses to utilise a taser, they shall use a black taser.
TURTLENECK. Officers may choose to wear a department-issued turtleneck under their duty shirt during inclement weather. It shall be blue, and bare the text "POLICE."
WINDBREAKER. Detectives and other plainclothes assignments may choose to wear a marked windbreaker to identify themselves as a member of the department. It shall be black in color, bear the text "LOS SANTOS PORT POLICE" and the department badge.
ZIPTIES. During major public order situations, officers may choose to wear extra ziptie cuffs on their belt.
Uniform Types
Class A Uniform
Shall be worn by any Police Officer I.
Shall be worn by any officer attending a formal event.
May be worn by officers conducting field activities.
SHIRT. Long sleeve shirt to be worn with the tie.
PANTS. Standard duty pants.
FOOTWEAR. Black boots.
BELT. Black leather belt, with silver buckle.
Class B / C Uniform
May be worn by officers conducting field activities.
SHIRT. Long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, with open collar.
PANTS. Standard duty pants.
FOOTWEAR. Black boots.
BELT. Black leather belt, with silver buckle.
Utility Uniform
On-duty Patrol personnel must obtain permission from a duty supervisor to be authorised to use the utility uniform. Officers assigned to the Marine Unit may optionally choose to wear the Utility uniform.
Note: May be worn during a Tac Alert, special event, or when conducting special duties, such as K-9, without supervisor permission.
SHIRT. Black long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, with open collar and embroidered facsimile badge.
Note: A black polo shirt bearing appropriate department insignia may be used instead.
PANTS. Black BDU pants.
FOOTWEAR. Black boots.
BELT. Black nylon belt with a plastic buckle.
HOLSTER. Officers wearing the utility uniform may elect to utilize the drop-leg holster.
Polo Uniform
On-duty personnel must obtain permission from a duty supervisor to be authorised to use the polo uniform.
Note: May be worn when conducting special duties, or special event, without supervisor permission.
SHIRT. Black polo shirt with an embroidered facsimile badge.
PANTS. Black BDU pants, or black knee-length shorts.
FOOTWEAR. Black boots
BELT. Black nylon belt with a plastic buckle.
HAT. Officers may choose to wear a black baseball cap bearing white text "POLICE", or dark blue baseball cap bearing the Port Authority of Los Santos logo.
Motor Unit Uniform
Shall be worn by all motor unit officers.
SHIRT. Class A, B, or C style shirt may be worn.
PANTS. Blue pants with a white stripe. Shall be bloused and worn with knee-high boots.
HELMET. All motor unit officers shall wear the department-issued motor helmet.
GLOVES. Officers shall wear black leather gloves.
Marine Unit Uniform
Shall be worn by all officers assigned to the Marine Unit.
SHIRT. Officers may wear a department issued polo shirt, or a Class B/C uniform shirt. Officers utilizing their PFD shall wear the polo shirt (to prevent clipping).
PANTS. Navy blue bloused BDU pants.
FOOTWEAR. Black water proof boots with slip resistant sole.
CAP. A black baseball cap bearing either Port Authority of Los Santos logo or "POLICE" lettering may be optionally worn.
PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE (PFD). Officers assigned to the Marine Unit are strongly encouraged to wear a PFD (also known as a life jacket) when aboard a watercraft at all times. It shall be navy blue with white stripes and bear the department badge and "PORT AUTHORITY POLICE" lettering.
HOLSTER. Officers wearing the Marine Unit uniform shall wear the drop-leg holster.
K-9 Uniform
Shall be worn by officers assigned to the K9 Unit.
SHIRT. Black long sleeve or short sleeve utility shirt, with open collar. It shall bear the LSPP patches, embroidered badge, name tape and K-9 UNIT patch (if available).
PANTS. Black BDU pants.
FOOTWEAR. Black boots.
HOLSTER. Officers shall wear either a belt-attached holster, or a drop-leg holster.
BELT. Duty belt as prescribed.
Note: The Nylon belt may be worn with the utility uniform.
