DEPARTMENT MANUAL - VOLUME I: ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES
102 - PERSONAL CONDUCT.
102.1 RESPECT FOR OTHERS.
The Department is made up of employees from across the globe. Because of this, biases or prejudices must not be allowed to influence decision making or conduct involving other employees. Employees must treat one another with respect and be constantly mindful that other people are individuals with emotions.
102.2 INTEGRITY.
The dishonesty of a single employee may damage confidence in the Department; therefore, all employees must maintain high standards at all times.
102.3 CONDUCT UNBECOMING AN OFFICER.
Employees of the Department will be scrutinised during their encounters. Because of this, employees must conduct themselves in a manner which does not bring discredit to themselves, or the Department.
102.4 EMPLOYEE'S DUTY TO REPORT MISCONDUCT.
When any employee becomes aware of possible misconduct by another member of the Department, they shall immediately report the incident to a supervisor or directly to Command. In addition, an employee who observes serious misconduct shall take appropriate action to cause the misconduct to immediately cease. The fact that a supervisor is present, and not taking appropriate action to stop the misconduct, does not relive other employees present from this obligation.
102.5 USE OF INTOXICANTS.
Due to the nature of the profession, employees shall not go on duty if they are intoxicated. This applies to being intoxicated in character, as well as In Real Life.
